Orgeat Syrup

Once opened, store in the refrigerator. Homemade orgeat will spoil much faster than commercially produced versions.

Orgeat is most famous for its use in the Mai Tai, but it's also delicious in other tiki drinks.

A small amount can add a subtle nutty sweetness to coffee or tea.

It can be used in baking as a syrup for cakes or drizzled over desserts.

Using store-bought almond syrup instead of true orgeat; the flavor profile is very different.

Not refrigerating opened orgeat, which can lead to spoilage.
